POTSDAM, GERMANY, 2005

"Potsdam city is going to rebuild the Brandenburg-Berlin Parliament on the spot of the ancient city castle, at the prominent plaza ""Alter Markt"". This requires a concept for a new urban development which can activate the city heart. Instead of a final plan we are offering a number of different possibilities which are illustrating the potential of an urban design in a historic context. We are taking historic traces where they make sense as well as creating new connections for a situation which was changed during the decades.Proposals for the built volume, public spaces as well as material and landscape design are giving a new vision of this public space."
