Michiel Raats studied architecture and urban design at undergraduate level in Eindhoven and Rotterdam. At present Michiel is a graduate student in architecture at the Rotterdam Academy for Architecture and Urban Design.
He worked as designer/researcher for Okra landscape architects, Ronald Wall and the Erasmus University Rotterdam before joining Maxwan in 2006. Michiel has been part of the Atelier Zuidvleugel team and is currently involved in the London projects "Northern Olympic Fringe" and "Lea Bridge Masterplan" .
Michiel is teaching in a closed reading series on architectural theory at the Rotterdam Academy for Architecture and Urban Design in the autumn-term 2008-2009.
